The Lift and Escalator Industry Association (LEIA) has announced the appointment of two new members to its management board: Richard Jones, Managing Director at Fujitec UK Ltd, and Dean White, Director – Operating Area Lead – London, at Otis UK.
LEIA member companies are represented on the LEIA Council, which appoints the management board annually. The board is authorised to act on LEIA’s behalf and is responsible for providing strategic oversight and guidance in support of the association’s objectives for the year ahead.
Commenting on the appointments, Laura Webb, Managing Director at LEIA, said: “It is a pleasure to welcome Richard and Dean to the management board. Both bring extensive industry experience and valuable insight that will support LEIA’s work on behalf of the sector. I am looking forward to working closely with them.”
Richard Jones added: “This opportunity is not just a significant milestone in my career; it’s a chance for me to amplify the voices of my incredible team and represent their interests to the fullest. Having spent 23 years in this vibrant industry, I’ve seen firsthand the incredible innovations and challenges we face. I truly believe it’s crucial for us to come together as a community, and I’m eager to work alongside my esteemed peers in shaping the future of our industry. We’re part of something special — a sector that plays a vital role in enhancing towns and cities across the UK.”
Dean White returns to the LEIA board, having previously served while in a previous role. Commenting on his reappointment, Dean said: “I am delighted to be rejoining the board of LEIA, supporting the development of our organisation as it enters its next phase of leadership. The continued focus on driving value for our members especially through legislation and regulation direction, as well as training and education for those within and joining our industry, is an exciting opportunity.”
