Lead assessor – Trailblazer apprenticeships end point assessment

End point assessment of our industry’s apprentices is an exciting change in our industry.  We are looking for a lead assessor to work within the LEIA to delivery effective end-point assessment for our industry.  If you have a passion to support our industry making this change and have the “right stuff” then we want to hear from you.

The role:

Reporting to the Managing Director, you will lead the delivery of the end-point assessment

Develop the policies, procedures, IQA and a network of assessors to deliver end point assessment in line with quality standards

Initially part time/ freelance/ full-time depending on the indicvidual and how they can contribute to other areas of LEIA’s work.  It is expected that the role would become full-time.

Based in our offices in London but location would not be a constraint.  The role would involve travelling to deliver end-point assessment.

The following experience and qualities (“right stuff”) are essential:

A drive to make your mark on our industry by supporting apprentices, emploers and training providers

Up to date knowledge of apprentice standards and experience of vocational training in our industry

Significant industry experience and qualified to NVQ level 3 in an appropriate pathway

The right candidate would have one or more of the following desirable qualities:

Experience of assessment or an assessment qualification

An IQA/IV qualification

Experience working with key stakeholders such as IfATE, training providers or employers

Skills and abilities contributing to other work of LEIA e.g. development and delivery of training materials.

LEIA is the trade association and advisory body for the lift and escalator industry.  We have contributed to development of the employer-led trailblazer apprenticeships for the lift and escalator industry and will be supporting our industry with an end point assessment organisation.  If you are interested, please send your CV and covering email to: enquiries@leia.co.uk
