Karen Slade has joined LEIA as Head of End-Point Assessment (EPA) to help us become the first-choice end-point assessor for industry apprenticeships.

In this brand new role, Karen will help shape and launch this new division of LEIA. She will design and implement the EPA business strategy, ensure compliance with Ofqual and ESFA and promote the service.

Karen brings with her a wealth of experience as an End-Point Assessment Manager, Assessor, Lead IQA and training and assessment developer. She is CIPD qualified and has worked within the public, private and third sectors.

Nick Mellor, MD of LEIA, said, “We are delighted to welcome Karen to the organisation at this exciting time. This is a new focus for LEIA and Karen will be responsible for the delivery of rigorous EPA for apprentices in our sector.  With the training providers offering apprenticeships, funding in place (and further incentives for apprentices starting before 30 September), LEIA’s EPA service completes the picture”.

Karen Slade, LEIA’s new Head of EPA said “It is great to see employers taking on and training more apprentices to meet their future skills needs.  I am looking forward to working with employers and training providers, and to welcoming the first apprentices to end-point assessment.  Please get in contact with me to discuss your EPA needs”.
