LEIA has welcomed the UK division of Mitsubishi Electric Europe B.V. as its latest members.
Operating in 90 countries around the globe, Mitsubishi Electric specialise in lift and escalator design focusing on efficiency, energy saving and ride comfort. Its principal factory in Japan is responsible for the prime research and development of its products with a production capacity of 18,000 elevators per year. In addition, the company also has factories in the Netherlands and Thailand, with a combined output of over 20,000 units per year.
In the UK, the Lifts & Escalator Division was established in London in 1995, so 2025 marks its 30-year anniversary. Mitsubishi Electric Lifts & Escalator Division has an office in Croydon, and a warehouse, office and training facility in Rainham Essex. They provide expertise in new installation, modernisation, repairs and service & maintenance.
